What is a mother board? My boss's Apple laptop is broken she took it to get it fixed she thought some kind of card needed to be replaced. The guy called to tell her the mother board needed to be replaced and it would cost $1,000. Well Boopie, jus tell him sey they are a review committee, for which, women who are not good mothers are brought up on charges and have to appear before the members of that board. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/desdentado.gif[/img]

The mother board is like the chasis of a vehicle.
It hold everything together.
I a person knows how to put a computer together,the board cost about $200,but it takes a lot of time ans skill to put it together.It takes more time than to build a brand new computer from scratch.
If you can't do it yourself,better buy a new one,because the warranty on th enew one will make up for the diffeence in cost.
You pay 1000 and 4 months after it dies,now what?.
