i have the panasonic lumix for my quick point and shoot like Dajah recommended... there are several great models... id get something at least 6mp.. very affordable.

I do not have a delay that is significant at all... definitely not like what is mentioned above.. dont miss a shot because of a delay...

what settings are you using.. just the automatic? it is true like someone mentioned the shutter button must be pushed half way to focus and then fully to shoot...

even an slr camera will delay if it is not in focus.. some folks only use the automatic focus.. and if it is having a hard time depending on the image.. you can hear it adusting and adjusting..and you could miss a shot... (why i often use manual focus)...

digital cameras are coming a long way... just go to a place that has a huge selection.. try them in the store.. mention the delay factor...... so many great point and shoot digitals out there...

here look at b and h photo.. huge selection. in nyc.. they also ship... or use it to go find it elsewhere..

Hi BND I haffee gi mi likkle speel bout how mi feel bout bhp.
I see them in every ,ajor recording magazine so couple years a go mi tek a trod dung deh.
When mi reach mi notice de place run by orthodox jew ( de one dem wid de two locks one pan each side)
What mi notice is dat dem nuh let no women touch or handle de money and at dat time dem had dem one token blk in deh.

Hey rasta man dajah.. with the locks on your head.. going all over instead of down the sides of your face... what does this have to do with customer service or merchandise for reviewing the purchase of equipment??

have you ever been to a nyabingi... no women welcome...... all kinds of dominating issues with women....

should i be upset if i go into a store and it's run by rastas?? do i care? NO.

i go there because they have a huge inventory which keeps most of their prices down.. have papers i cant find anywhere else...

i once used abes of maine.. but i dont anymore. because they didn't beat the price.. and if their are issues B and H is close to me and i can deal more readily.. they also say they will beat any price if you show them an advertisement..

as long as people are polite to me.. (and they arent always.. chassids tend to be a little serious) but i do get the help i want.. they look things up for me on the computer... and the most important factor is they have the variety.. and what i need..

in this thread i suggested using B and H to use on line to look at the merchandise.. comparing prices and specifications.. etc.. so when you buy your educated.. no matter where you go...

believe me if i can find a place with the stock they have.. with a more diverse staff.. and better prices.. maybe i'd go.. but i dont hold it again them.. that they run the place.. so what?

you have korean nail places all over.. there are no mexicans or puerto ricans or blacks or jews doing the nails.

you have chinese launderies all chinese.. no one else..

there are so many industries.. and stores.. that are run by one group of people... so what??? i dont think my korean market is racist.. even though only koreans work there...

i think your issue here is jews.. always has been.. when you see an opening or get a chance.. you got some anti-semitism in you.... own it.. instead of pawning it off...

had you said you dont like it cause their prices are bad.. they are missing stock... they are rude to you.. whatever .. more legitimate..

your statements reflect nothing to do with technology

and as far as parking.. they have ONE lot across the street which is free when you spend 100 bucks which is easy if you are really going in to purchase (and believe me 100 bucks if you are buying chemicals or papers.. or memory is easy!)

After buyting two sony cybershots, which are real easy mi still suggest fi guh wid de Lumix by panasonic, dem vary in price but solid still

It's not one of the "really slim" ones, but I've really abused my Canon A60, and it's held up pretty well.

My next digital cam will be a Canon, too; at this point, I'm thinking PowerShot A540. Online reviews are pretty glowing.
