I dont think some of them are worth it like the one I have. But when it comes to music, pic(moving and still) or anything of that sort, I like clarity and quality. Some of these TVs are worse than the regular TVs they are replacing. I have a old philip andi t look better than the one I have now but mi affi get wid times. no one watches black and white anymore.

Some of them are very nice though and feel its worth it even if you just glimps TV instead of watching them.

The regular HF cable will not carry th esignal even if you have direct TV box you hav eto connect it wither Component,HMDI or optical . If you use your Svideo cable it will improve thesignal but will nit give you the minimum 780 lines for min HD signal.

remember you are talking about a rear projection TV. rear projection will not be as sharp as a plasma or old tube TV especially as they get larger the image quality suffers. One more thing. It is an old technology that will be phased out in a few years. They will be replaced with cellpl=hone size projectors being developed by Texas Instrument. They manufacture the best pic in rear projection TVs at present..
So it is not right to blame new technology,becayuse it's time is almost passed.
