Cell Phone question

I have VZ for my cell phone service and am happy that yes 'Dem can hear mi now when mi call'

I have a phone that generally works fine for me but would like to add 2 additional functions

1) I would like the ability to have my outlook contacts (which includes a street address) and
2) the outlook calendar

Sooo if I went with a palm treo sinting or blackberry do I have to pay extra to have access to these services? [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70402-thinking.gif[/img]

I think you'd have to add some kinda of data service to your plan...dunno hummuch VZ charge fe dat

Another option: You could keep your contacts in one of those online email accounts, like Yahoo mail or gmail and use your phone internet browser to log on and access the info. Assuming you have internet browsing service on your phone account. That way you could kill two birds wid wan stone.

I was going to say that the browsing to find the contacts might take a while if one is in a hurry and need the contact info in like oh 6 secs.

but I guess any kinda of data is going to take time. Can't you just have the contacts in a PDA kinda set up on the phone ?

That option comes only with a select few phones and then to transport the data might be where the expense goes up..

Since you ladies carry so much junk in your purse anyway, [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] you could carry one of those tiny electronic organizers you can get for a couple dollars in the stationary store, Target, K-mart, WalMart or even some dollar stores.

Yes you can do all that, you can have dem een deh suh yuh cyan look ull de info etc, but if yuh now waan email dem (as Lady Zed seh) yuh haffee have a day a plan.

Mi have de treo but mi nuh use it fi email. I don't see anyting so critical dat mi cyaan wait till mi reach sumweh wid mi lapaztopaz fi deal wid dat.

But it is nice to have any peeps info right deh suh wid out haffe sraw fi address book ar lapztopaz fi look feet.

Along wid ppl's street adress, yuh cyan all add directions fi reach deh...everyting inna one place.

Does your phone have the ability to synch or connect to a computer? My motoE815 has software that can connect to my computer so I can type in email/address and then upload it into the phone. Its not compatible with outlook but I can easily copy/paste this data into the phone tools and then upload and tada, problem solved. What is the exact model of phone that you are using? The only catch was I had to buy a special cable to connect via USB to my phone but that was only ~$12.00 so no biggie. This cable is not something standard they give out with phones, it was one I had to buy to hack my phone...erm shhh [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif[/img]

if you get the treo that operate pan windows than it should be able to do dat no prob. Mine has palm OS so I copied and pasted (as Reby seh)my outlook info into the palm software that come wid de phone pan de pc, den mi sync it tuh de phone an boom, everyting di deh.

The only reason fi de data plan is if yuh waan fi email which mi have no reason fah when as you seh yuh cyan text dem.
