iPod Nano help please...

I was gifted with a very cool little 4 gig Nano. Trouble is, I have absolutly NO CLUE!

I managed to download the latest version of ITunes and have quite a few CD's uploaded to it, but so far I have only managed to get 64 songs onto the iPod. I have it set to manual and I can't seem to figure out how to drop and drag the tunes one at a time. When I had it set to automatic it only added a few CD's and for the life of me I can't figure out how to add more.

I have been looking online but don't see the buttons on my iTunes version and I'm getting frustrated. I need the iPod for Dummies book or something but first, can anyone give me some insight?

I don't have an over-priced iPod or zune for just that reason, too many limitation. Hold tight, I am sure one of the die hard iPod fans will be along soon to explain.

Thanks JKind! I am loving it so far just a little frustrated! I can use it while riding my scooter & beading out in my new outdoor living room, I love the sound. But you know I am a technotard, lol...

Hi Jaded THANK YOU! Yes I see the songs in my library. Then I went to MUSIC, and attempted to drag the tunes one by one but they are not showing up. Wha mi do wrang.

nanook try re-loading Itunes, cause its not supposed to work like that; sounds like a glitch.

if it's set on auto, the nano should automatically be updated, everytime you plug it into the computer, with all the changes you made to your tunes library since the last update. all of it.

if not on auto, it should open Itunes and go to the screen where it prompts you choose how/what you want it to update, every time you plug it into the computer. i don't think you should be havin to drag and drop, neither. (could be wrong about that, mine is on auto.)

Thanks Sistacaf! I will try it when I get home but it had stopped loading tunes at 64 even though I had about 10 CD's uploaded into ITunes. So then I tried putting it in manual. It is soo frustrating when you are a "tard" lol...

took me 3 weeks fi work it out.. something to do with import.... I wipe out a number of albums from my preexisting libary...

Dont feel no way a lady friend of the albotross is the head of IT at a large US energy company.. And her husband looks after her ipod...

OK lol now I got it! I had to reset it, was kinda scared to earlier thinking I was lucky to get the 64 tunes on and worried it would end up sitting empty...BUT..now there are 200 and some down, 800 to go, YIPEEE!

Have scooter tunes will travel!!!

Jaded ouchthat's about what I was doing too! It is working all right now!!! I hope you didn't hurt your brain by beating it! I'm gonna try it on the lawn tractor in a little bit here! That ought to make mowing seem faster!
