I have a song saved on my desktop. I need just a portion of it for a site...not my website this time...How do I copy just a portion of a song?

You need a music editor of some kind. Some are strictly editors and some are built into players. Some you will see it convert to a different format, then back to the original format after editing. Some does it in the background. Bottom-line you have to the song in the format that the editor can manipulate.

What file format do you have?

A search for FREE editors will produce many to choose from. You then open your file in it and trim off the portion that you don’t want, then save, rename, (possibly and convert the file back).

Alright sir, later I shall search for "free music editor" and see what I come up with. I downloaded something by the Dramatics or Delphonics (don't remember which one) and I only need a portion.

Suh yuh couldn't post a recommended one fi mi? How yuh stay suh?

Di sinting mi use too complicated fi yuh, ie wi mek yuh head spin.

It is called CoolEdit.

Yuh need suppen much much simpler.
