The Canon PowerShot SD700 is capable of the following resolutions:

• 2816 x 2112
• 2816 x 1584
• 2272 x 1704
• 1600 x 1200
• 640 x 480

For just posting to the web and printing 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 pics, a 640 x 480 is good enough. For anything greater, I would go one up. How to change it should be in the user manual.
