I just unlocked my own fone...

I got the unlock code online for $15
but since de fone needed a micro sim card to make the fone ask for an unlock code I had to take a regular sim card and tek scissors and file to it.

U submit the numbers at the bottom and then they'll tell u how much it cost or if u can do it.

You will need your IME# if you look under the battry it is there or if you dial *#06# it will come up on your screen. You need the 1st 15 digits for them to tell you the cost of unlocking your fone. Those 15 digits are also needed to generate your unlocking code.

I will be doing this same thing on December 2nd, that is when the new cell phone plan rules come into effect (Canada). I'll be breaking my three year contract with Rogers with no penalty fees and going with a no-term contract from another provider.
