Car Undercoating

Up here in Canada and perhaps also in the northern U.S. and in other places where they dump salt on the roads to help melt the winter snow and ice, undercoating is very popular. I have always had my cars sprayed with oil to prevent rusting and it works great but now I'm reading that the newer car models treat their metal parts at the factory and car undercoating is really no longer necessary. What do you folks do? Undercoat your cars or just leave them?

last time i undercoated was probably in the early 90's
if you wash your car regularly you won't have any issues

Thanks Rich! Yes, I'm going to try and wash it at least once a week in the winter. So me juss leave the oil spray alone.
