memba me tell u me computah crash, and it when it fixed itself it wiped everyting clean, well...why de clock wont stay wid de right time, so me fix it, and logoff it go back to some faat tim when me log back on???

You probably need mother board battery replaced.
How old is it anyway?

Like Dr. D said, it sound like your CMOS system battery is going. Mi kno, plain English right!

Well, basically there is a small flat battery (sometimes it is square and sometimes it looks like a little barrel) that comes with your motherboard. It is used to keep all your MB system settings to whatever you last set them to, in destructive memory. If the battery goes, then so goes your settings, every time you power down the PC, and you have to reset them every time you power up again, until you get a new battery. Sometime the battery clamp will become relaxed or coated with a light film an give you the same symptoms. A good old eraser helps with the film. You can lightly bend the spring clip to improve the tension.

Some pcs don't get the CMOS clock updated properly when you set the time via the operating system. Sometimes you have to go into the CMOS and set the time there. What type of pc or what does it say on boot for the BIOS brand name?
