Random upgrade thread

Mi ave fe upgrade nuff tings...phone, cell phone, cyaar, computer....

Phone

Let's start with the phone. I have a:

- wired headphone set
- old portable
- old landline that sits in my bedroom wired.

Nuff times I am stuck on hold and can't get up to eat or anything.

What would be a good affordable solution. I definitely need a phone with a headset so I can type and talk and if it has an intercom that I could crank up, I could go anywhere in the apartment and still hear when the person who has me on hold comes back on line.

Suggestions? I don't have a million dollars to spend though.

u don't need any headset wid fone like dese, de intercom is real good and can pick up ur voice good, yuh cyan guh inna de kitchen an tek it wid yuh an leff on de ontercom. I think this one can also have a bluteet attache to it as well so even betta.

Really...so I really am out of date.

I can speak on headphone and type. Will the typing disturb the caller though? I multi-task like crazy.

That means I don't need to have a second portable 6 feet away in the living room. I can put it in the bedroom and put the ugly old black phone in my son's room....as if he would ever use it.

It's inexpensive too. Thanks for that.

Cell Phone

The mobile phone you recommended for me was too fancy. Too many apps, bells and whistles I would never use. I need something cheap probably a Samsung or another android that doesn't look out of date like the cute one I have now. No way do I want to spend $700 for a phone. I just want to buy something reasonable outright without monthly payments.

I need to be able to look at the Internet and pick up email when I am in a pinch but I won't do that often. A camera phone that takes great photos for when I forget my digital camera would be a nice touch.

Suggestions?

Computer Upgrade

Thinking about your suggestion...something along these lines might work for me as long as I can plug them into my screen.

If I did this, I wouldn't have to buy a tablet either and I could get rid of my desktop.

It's late so it will be good for travel.

Car upgrade

A car that is red and has a sexy spoiler...like what I had in the BB days (Before Baby) days.... Air conditioned with CD player. What more does one need in a car. I wouldn't be able to judge what's under the hood anyway.

get a real laptop and not dem fufool tablet/laptop sittin.
Dem ting deh is not powerful enough fi serious work odda den surfing and menial tasks.
Every laptop out deh have an output where u can plug a monitor in, u could even put the laptop to the side and plug in a bigger keyboard if you really want to.

Television

Oh TV remember we've discussed that. I started to look into the antenna. Turns out I don't need it.

When I moved into this condo the owner told me that the rent covered the Basic cable and I had to pay the upgrade. I haven't had a bill since I moved here. I finally went to Rogers fearing I would be cut off any day now. Anyway I have a 0 balance. The condo upgraded and now the the Rogers VIP package is included.

Only problem, I can't get it as I have ....ready for this....an analog TV

So mi ave fe upgrade the TV too. I haven't changed my TV and VCR since 2004 when a certain musician gave me his DVD and I had to buy a DVD player to watch it. Up until then I still had a casete player.

Please excuse the name dropping.
I think perhaps I have left these upgrades just a bit too long.
