I am inteste din al games on horseback so Wahalla do come tell me more.
But isn't Kokpari hyst a form of polo. Did you participate in or observed the beheading and desmboweling of the anmial. 
For how long did you play. Do you hve a closer photo of what is used to hit the kupkari. Oh so I had it mixed up completed. You didn't ride goat the goat is the Kupkari sometimes.
Where did you play this. Was this in Outer Mongolia or did I mix that up too. I wish you had more photos. I guess In need to start a Kokpari thread.
Why do you think polo is for pussies? What is it that doesn't appeal to you about the game?

I mentioned once I did ride breifly in in a Kokpari game.. this is as different to polo as base ball is to basket..where a dead sheep, goat, calf is used.. the aim is to put it in your own goal... But the ponies are too small for my body mass..

However, polo is played with a ball. The animal in a kupkari game is normally beheaded and disemboweled and has its limbs cut off at the knees. It is then soaked in cold water for 24 hours before play to toughen it. Occasionally sand is packed into the carcass to give it extra weight. Though a goat is used when no calf is available, a calf is less likely to disintegrate during the game'.
