A better phone, far more powerful and a lot more features bells and whistles than the IPhone is the N95

I was gonna get the Iphone but the Nokia N95 beat it hands down so I bought it instead.

It does have WIFI
It also have the WCDMA/HSDPA technology including the old EDGE where the Iphone only uses the old EDGE technology.

The N95 however, is unlockable by the network provider only for a fee. There are other ways to unlock a N95 but that is a bit dodgey. As for the Iphone I don't know - doubt it given its time on the market.

Put it up against the HTC Hermes/Cingular 8525, running WM6 can you endlessly configure, reconfigure and write applications for it?

I say compare it to a second generation Phone like the HTC Hermes/Cingular 8525 $300 cheaper WM6 and this not even the newer Kaiser/ATT 8925

Don't say the IPhone cannot do it. The IPhone can do all that you have demonstrated,(except maybe Steaming a video, but it can act as a Internet Host over WIFI, so the potential is there), but the Closed Nature of the Operating System intentionally cripples the Phone.

Now the HTC running WM6 is not, simply because it is a Windows Machine, we can make it do anything and we don't have to ask permission from anyone, not Microsoft, Not ATT, not Apple, Not Symbian, Not Nokia. We can code in C+, Flash, Java, DOS, etc.
@ the moment the storage is limited to 8GB because that is the biggest card that is available/priced reasonably out there. Windows can potentially address 32GB so when Media Cards approaching those numbers become available we can just write any drivers needed and load away, so the system is expandable, limited only to the Processor Speed, ROM Size* and RAM Speed.

Not so you were the one who brought in the N95 in an IPhone convo, bugt if you are reading my post you will see that have said the IPhone can do all you have suggested the N95 can do.

It does not have a separate GPS Radio, but you can always use google maps. It does not have co-axial out, but I am pretty sure you can set it up to stream.
Does have gyro that is installed and working.

Yes I did because the N95 is always compared with the IPhone when people are looking to buy the IPhone and visa versa.

I know the IPhone can do the stuff in the links provided but some may find it interesting to know if they didn't already. The first link was the one I wanted to show you that N95 can use an IPhone style interface and is customisable to do just about anything n the Symbian system.

I will start a thread and show the spec of each phone and any comparisons. Shuld be good for those who wants decide which to get.
