OpenOffice, AbiWord, and Foxit Reader I've used and they are pretty good. Anyone using Adobe Reader, the "resource hog", should switch to Foxit.

I've also used the Mozilla family, Gimp, Songbird, IrfanView & Avast - no complaints.

Aim to try to out a few more. I just like that some of these applications load a lot faster than some of the regulars.

CEW, thanks for the re-submission of the Portable Apps software info to this Forum. The more choice can have the better to taylor for their specific needs.
