my latptop

died today around 2. I was on it and I noticed it started freezing. And then I turned it off and now I cannot get it to power back on [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bexbad.gif[/img] It is not even 3 years old. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bexbad.gif[/img]

Do you have an extra battery? Try replacing the battery.

It should run fine without the battery on a/c. What do you mean by "died"? We need more info.

What is going on, or in this case not going on from the time you press the power switch, with the laptop plugged into the wall socket?

well yesterday it started freezing and then it just died. It will not power on. the light will come on for a split second and then it just will not power on when plugged in.

Are you talking the power light or the hard drive light?

The power light should be on constant after the switch is pressed.

If it is the power light, then that is not good, you may have a bad power internal supply. I want you to pull out the battery and see if you can power it up then.

If you are having hard drive issues, then you could get the symptoms you described above with the HD light.

</div></div> Whenever the powersupply dies,the power light will come on just for an instant every time it is powered on. If it was the HDD the power light would come on,nut it won't boot.
