Couples Negril

A coworkers daughter is looking at honeymooning there in December.

Any comments / feed back?

I work with the brides Mom (she is very nice) She says the groom is interested in getting out seeing Jamaica and meeting Jamaicans. He mentioned Dunn's River falls. Mom was thinking that it might not be safe to leave the resort. I printed Talk of The Town Tours home page for them and assured Mom that they will be fine. They are only staying for 5 days. It is their 1st trip to Jamaica.

I hope they will love Jamaica.

we went to Couples Negril on our first trip to JA...our first trip out of US.

worked fine for us...its very nice. a little uptight for my liking...and too big...i enjoy a more intimate setting. the gardens are beautiful there...service fine...food was fine...xtras like a sunset cruise included...trip to Ricks..blah blah.

we hired Soloman TOTT) on that first trip one day and ventured off to Tosh's, TB and Lovers Leap...had dinner at 3 Dives...a real fun day.

Couples will be great for their first trip...just make sure they DO get out and see more than that concrete paradise.

Dunns River is far from Negril! They should go somewhere else or stay at a Couples hotel closer to Dunns River like San Soucci.

I know it is far. That is one of the reasons I gave them Sala's web site. Maybe they could go to Mayfield or YS falls.

Couples Negril is nice, but for a Honeymoon I'd go with their other property in Negril: Swept Away for a couple of reasons. CN has the nude beach and is more &quot;party&quot; oriented (not NEARLY to the extent of Hedo or anything but more than SA) SA is very low-key, romantic, great food, great rooms, excellent staff/service. We went last year and are returning there the end of June.
For a romantic All-Inclusive, It's the best we've been to yet. And DO get off the resort and explore Jamaica, You will find Jamaicans to be some of the most welcoming people you've ever met,with a genuine love of life, and a vibe all their own.
