HA! I drive the streets in any weather. Well, drove I should say, I don't go out in ish anymore since I don't have to. I was a taxi driver in Duluth in winters when i worked road construction and things could get a little icky during storms! I was good at getting up, there's a trick to it.

They closed half the bridge. One lane each direction. I am still driving on it for the most part but I try to avoid rush hour or any time traffic is sitting still like they were in Mpls on that bridge when it collapsed. I call it a thrill ride now. Will I make it across? Nobody would survive if it fell because the water is too cold & it's 100 feet down. People use it for suicide and they don't survive!

Actually, I took one more pic for ya but I will post that one in the morning. Dole em out a few at a time like cupcakes, hehe...

Yep holds 40 people! I can't imagine doing a noreaster storm like the one that dumped the Fitzgerald in the life boat though! Not in waves like that! Still, I'd rather that life boat than some of the fishing boats I see out there!

We have a railroad bridge almost identical to the one over the canal there. It crosses the Cape Cod Canal and loweres when a train needs to cross, then goes back up. Ours has some funky pointy towers at either end. I'll have to see if I have a pic somewhere. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70402-thinking.gif[/img]
