Please recommend a place for a Family to Stay in Negril

Hi all,

Two children (under 12 yrs) and their parents are looking for a place to stay in Negril. Planned activities include visiting Cool Runnings Waterpark. Has anyone been there? How is it?

The hotel or place of stay should accomodate families.

Hi Jamtone!

If I was looking for a family accommodation I would want to have a kitchen. Mariners Beach Club comes to mind, and they also have a pool and restaurant, a wide beach and security.

I would recommend the Negril Beach Club Condos. I have stayed there a number of times and my daughter (6) loved the place. Nice staff, near everything, and it has a nice living room and kitchen which I love when you are having kids along. It also has one of the nicest stretches of beach in Negril.

Good one too Sugar Shug! I was trying to think of the other name! I have spent a lot of time visiting friends visited in both the condos and the NBCC units since they are all together and I have only heard good reports although some rooms were better than others. I have also heard those with rooms they didn't like were moved quickly to something they liked better.

also seaplash, rondel and rayon hotel all have rooms with a kitchen and are all nice properties

Also Nirvana, esp with littler kids (swing set, playhouse, shade, fence).

Thanks for the recommendations everyone. We are definitely taking up on checking out the hotels metion here. They sound very nice and we are checking with each one for a quote.

You have more than enough recommendations on places to stay so I won't address that part of your question. Regarding Cool Runnings, we were there earlier this year and had a blast - I honestly didn't expect much but it was terrific fun.
