Half Moon

I will be visiting Jamaica in a couple of weeks for a wedding at the Half Moon in Jamaica. Can anyone tell me about that resort, what to expect, the staff there and what the food is like. I will be staying at one of the villas as part of the wedding package, but just don't know enough about the resort and would like to get the perspective of someone who has been there and have some information to share.

Do you have more information as to where Half moon is located? I know there is one not far from Negril near Orange Bay but i don't think this is the place you are posting about.

I haven't stayed at Half Moon Villas but we used to say we were when entering Half Moon's property from our villas in Ironshore so we could use their guests-only facilities

The resort is HUGE, has 3 beaches, golf, horseback riding, all kinds of space. A main hotel building and several smaller buildings. I think the villas are actually on the hill across the road, mostly.

I can't imagine NOT enjoying a stay there.

yes - this place looks really splendid.

we viewed the Rhodes Hall Half Moon property near Green Island - that property is very lovely as well ... very very nice rooms ~ we would have had my sister and niece stay there if they wanted a second place to try. Not sure of their food / services ....

little beach / nice pool / but - not local friendly

Half Moon is one of the finest places to stay in Jamaica. Four stars!

While I have never stayed there, my sister has. She loved it. She also stayed in a villa and loved the idea of having a personal cook assigned to their group to prepare wonderful meals for them.

I never heard her say anything negative about the Half Moon Club so I think you will have a wonderful stay there.

Half Moon is just outside of Mo Bay.

If she hadn't taken down her pictures I would post them. (smile) And a few other celebrities. Entrance don't look like much but when you go in it's whole different thing. </span></span>

Congratulations on the wedding.

Half Moon is one of the premier resorts in Jamaica. Service is top notch, if you rent one of the villas it comes with a private pool and personal butler.

I just thought that I would add a bit to this topic. My sister and I stayed at Half Moon and it was a vacation to remember, for sure!
We were in a room, not a villa, but can just imagine if we found it to be wonderful it can only be better in a Villa.
Not sure what was meant by &quot; not much from the entrance&quot; means, as the minute u come in the drive it looks like u have arrived in Paradise!
The staff was great, only had one minor problem that, thankfully, was taken care of right away.
It is a 4 Diamond property, higher rating than stars.
You will just love it there!
Have a wonderful time. The food was pricey but great!
