Depending on the time of year, the water is a little off some days after a heavy rain. From what I can remember, that is usually during rainy season. That end will usually lose less beach though, and I know there was a security guard I had to go through to visit someone.

don't wing it - too close to NYE - and the hotels fill up

loads of folks come from kingston for the weekend

but call the hotel and book that way

and the closer to town the murkier the ocean can be - especially when the river overflows it - P U
