The National carrier Air Jamaica has issued a new baggage advisory in anticipation of the increased traffic during the upcoming holiday season.
In a release issued Friday, the airline stated that all passengers will be allowed one piece of carry-on baggage with a maximum weight of 30-pounds and maximum size of 45 inches.
Passengers travelling from Toronto will be allowed one 22-pound carry-on while those travelling from Canada will be allowed one 13-pound carry-on.
The airline says love bird economy class passengers will be permitted two free checked bags of not more than 62 inches and 50-pounds each.
Executive Class travellers will be allowed three free checked pieces of the same size and weight, except for the London route where passengers will be allowed three checked pieces of not more than 70-pounds each.
Passengers will still be allowed to check overweight bags of not more than 70-pounds at a cost.
The airline says the overweight charge will be applied to each piece of luggage and will be accepted subject to the availability of space. However, the airline says no excess bags will be accepted at check in from December 1 to 31 from Canada and from the US to Jamaica from December 19 to 26.
Passengers will be allowed to check -in up to three extra pieces at specified charges.
Those passengers wishing to carry more than three pieces of excess baggage and bags over 70-pounds are advised to use the airline's cargo service.

I can't imagine hauling around a 40 pound carry on!!
