Yesterday I went to work for the last time. Actually I left day before yesterday since it is 1:42 am Sunday morning. I fell a sleep earlier and was not in the mood to go to bed. Everyone was asleep, my grandson is spending our last weekend together for a while. I am starting to second guess my decision, feeling guilty and selfish about it actually. My family is here what right do I have to leave them for a long period of time in such a far place?
While thinking these thoughts I came to the site that has feed my Jones/addiction for over five years not a lot of activity but a lot of good stuff to read. I decided to reread archived trip reports, but the one I settled on was one of OhLiz's reports the one in 2003 or 2004, don't want to go and check my accuracy because I would lose the above words. This woman does an excellent job of telling the stories of her adventures, she takes you along for the ride, she makes you dream of having the same types of experiences that she has and then try to go further and see more. I anticipate meeting her next year.
Rasta Stan and Betty's flight was delayed and because of the beauty of this man and woman a lot of people were worried and concerned, not for their safety but concerned because they were about to miss a whole day of being on the rock. I look forward to seeing them next week.
I saw Seveen and her party on the web cast last night and the woman is a pretty good dancer when she got up to dance my mouth dropped, seems she is having a ball I never knew she liked to dance. I look forward to hanging out next week with her an Abu.
Saw the beautiful face of another boardite who like me will be officially retired on Jan 2, 2009. I wish her much happiness as she and I go down the same road. And she deserves it.
Sammy, Vi, Lynette, Mokatee, Bianca, five beautiful women, I miss you guys so much, I hope to see you all at some point in time.
Laurel, one of the sweetest people I have met, we never get to spend much time together perhaps on your next reach.
I had thoughts of Grandma 2 one of the sweetest people I have yet to meet. I miss talking with her on her morning ride.
NaNook, QK, and Roots have sort of taken it over and I love the format of just talking on this board as if you were in the kitchen of one of your dear friends, actually we all are dear friends in the confines of this board and I have had a wonderful time hanging out with these ladies, whenever I played hockey from work. I hope to one day meet NaNook, a very talented and busy woman, and Roots who has always shown me graciousness in our dealings on this board. And QK I will soon get to meet and I know she is as beautiful in person as she is in print.
Diamond Dave and Pooh, Bandanna safe travels and I hope to see you next week.
Curtis D a very nice man, a loving and caring person, who loves his homeland in such a way that he is always willing to share and listen and answer any question I have and there are many.
And DahJah thank you so much for Your Positive Journey and many hours of listening pleasure. I have quite a few on my Ipod.
Q3210 another nice man who has taken time out to answer and give advice as needed. Hope to see you during my stay.
BND and Loops aka Thelma and Louise I have always enjoyed your Trip Reports and the adventures you allowed me to tag along on.
Belle hope you are having a good time and see you soon.
Accompong I still read any of your stories from the archives.
Jitterbug I love the way you do Jamaica, top down, windows open and heading your ride in the direction of choice.
Jamaica Miss and Ted thank you for allowing me to live in your space for a time, I am so looking forward to fulfilling a long time Dream, and it is largely because of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Xavier, thank you for the vision that bought all of the good people I have met and the ones I hope to meet into my life, though this board, people who share a passion same as mine for your homeland.
This is another of those times when the house is quiet, everyone is settled in for the night, I have a Marvin Gaye concert on the ipod and it is amazing. But while listening I am thinking about how talented this man was, and it saddens me to remember the joy and good listening pleasure this man gave us, I listen and hope that he found some peace in his life and had some good times in it. Listening to Marvin reminds me of why I choose to walk down this next road. It is because I realize life is too precious to go through it in fear, there have been so many woulda, coulda, shouldas in my life and I decided this will not be one of those times.
I have Faith and I am stepping out on it, and I really intend to ride it till the wheels fall off.
Much Love and Respect to my fellow Jamaicholics and Jamaican.com boardites. I have very much enjoyed the time i have spent here.
Would you beleive I have not begun to pack, Nah thats not a sign, because turning back is not an option. No Regrets.

He told my mom "If I had a choice between getting the heat fixed in my car and going to Jamaica, I'd get the heat fixed"
