Port Antonio or Runaway Bay

I’m planning to stay in one of these locations during my next reach but need a little help deciding. I'm not too familiar with either place, only that they are both well-liked. First, which would you recommend and why? Which is closest to Montego Bay? Which has the most night life even if its area entertainment. Regarding both or one…what hotel(s) would you recommend? What restaurants would you recommend?

Forgive me if this info was recently shared…I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks bunches.

Runaway bay is closest to mo bay...on the way to ochi

port antonio is past ochi if u coming from mobay

i've only stayed at breezes runaway bay...dunno bout other hotels there

i would venture to say porti night life is better u have la bess an roof that u can always go to

plus other things/places that u can hit up thru out the week

Thanks so much Missy I do appreciate your suggestions…the Royal Decameraon Club in Runaway Bay caught my eye which is why I considered RB. However, night life is a must and if it does not exist outside the resort than I'll go nuts or get into trouble.

Good to see you ((Vi))) been way too long!
Joe and I stayed at RD and it was nice but very boring. We thought we went to rest and were bored stiff after a couple days. We even took our friends from Ochi with us and we still left out of there everyday looking for something to do.

I will to go wid Porti to and yes mi bias because a deh mi bawn an grow but Runaway bay boring fi chrue.

Porti have nuff beaches (boston beach, Winifred, San San) you have rafting on the grande, Navy Island Reach falls and for night life, like Bizi sey Roof Night club is always in swing. If not there is always some dance or something going on.

I would say Port Antonio...you can go to Boston, and so many other great locations in the area...river rafting, and their are plenty of hidden beaches Winnifred for example

Thanks again Miz Biz...I loved Jamaica Palace however I'm drawn to Goblin Hill Villas. I like the look and the sorroundings. Its not on the beach, but its a short walk to the waters. Port Antonio is only 40+ minutes from Montego Bay? Am I right?

oh yes..goblin hill is lovely and the beach an blue lagoon is just across the street. Good choice.

Port Antonio is 3 - 4 hours from Montego bay and about 1.5 hours from kingston

The last I heard the roads wasn't that great so it would probably be easier to fly into kingston then mobay!!

yes Vi....you may want to look at a map.

I've driven from Mobay to Porty....it was a long trek...but i enjoyed every minute of it. Helps to know your driver...and stop here and there along the way.
