What's doing for the '09?

I would like to go for Independence. But who knows....money is tight. I am still working as of today, but all that could change with one meeting.

cut backs and tightening the belt ~

Holiday 2008/2009 reach postponed to mid January 2009 ... then canceled ... miles re-banked ...

then decided pon a different set of dates ... miles ticket in late March ... No rental car / having JUTA carry me to our yard for an extra $5.00. No roaming around the country-side - just gonna keep close to yard. Might try to walk to the beach ~ ... some say I will not manage that ~

eat cheap / possibly try my hand at cooking ~

just a bit of beach time / bit of work pon the house

one night out to join 3 Dives and meet new friends ~

nuff time in Lock Down ~

No. definately not me. I am a light traveler. I barely want to check a bag muchless a chainsaw.

I hear you. I have been toying with the idea of a countryside holiday myself. I have the luxury of going for the weekend. If the indepence ting doesn't work out, I may try to squeeze out a long weekend.

I was just on a reward points website to see what kind of travel vouchers I qualify for.

I am hoping and praying and praying and hoping that we will get to Jamaica this year. No dates set yet, have to see how the job/money is flowing.

Pepper, dont know where you would travel from, but, Orbitz have some fantastic rates right now, room and air. I only checked for Negril and up to March 09, which is our 10 year anniversary that I would love to spend in Jamacia.

I did not go last year 08, so I want badly to get there this year.

we have gotten used to the luxury of having our own car - me getting used to driving there ..

but - we just have to cut back on that this next round.

been a long time since we have had a 'do nothing' reach ~

Thanks for the info. But I don't want to buy a ticket right now. They lay-off rumors are flying all around the water coolers.

I need some JA therapy to survive this recession.
A cold red stripe, and a plate of anything cooked in JA....yeah that would do me good.
