Winterwonderland in the South

We had our big snow event this morning! It only snows here every 4-5 years and usually by the time we get it it melts away as it did today. It was gone by the afternoon. Bummer I was hoping to get a snow day tomorrow. There are no plows or snow blowers here! The news reporters go crazy and stay on the local stations for hours. Kids romp in it & build snowmen and have fun. Here are a few pictures that I took today! Just houses on my street and my doggies in their coats. lol.










Henry did not like the snow! He would barely walk around...he couldn't wait to get back inside.



I love this house!





The doggies. The baby was just visiting.



That's all folks! It was a fun day.

Nooks, they were barkless!!! Dem sey the snow is for de birds. lol. Yes, lots of hills here....up on the other side from where I live you've got a beautiful city view.

Natty, maybe Nanook can give you instructions. I'm not too good at that and I can't get to photobucket from my work computer. Basically, you must highlight the img at the very bottom of all those tabs and copy it to your Jam.com post.

Thanks Roots &amp; Laurel. It's been a long time since we got a good snow (can't remember the last time). This one was nice but it lasted less than 24 hours.

NDG, I want to see your pics!

So you have them on photobucket the rest is easy!

Go to photobucket and open the picture.

right click and you will get a pop up box

see the properties line? It will look like this...

Ok you have to take away everything after the jpg and COPY

like so...

Ok so now you did copy the properties. Now, in the posting box, see the little icons on top? The one second to from right...click on that and a pop up box will appear.

In that box paste the properties you copied from photobucket, then click on OK.


Then you can preview to see if it is there. If it is just post. If it isn't, let's try again, we can do this! Ask Roots!!! Ha, I remember when this was all scary for me at first too, but once you get it, then you won't wanna stop! This is good cause we wanna see!

Now see, you can right click on any photo you see...and all of them will have the address where they came from in the properties! This is also a good way to get little clip art stuff and things like the birthday cakes, balloons etc. Just google free clip art for starters! One thing though, a lot of people take offense if people take their photos from their website and post them on another website. When you have your photos hosted on your own website, you can tell right away when they are posted elsewhere and usually trace them to the exact spot.

Oh PS...you will want to make your photobucket albums private. Then only the photos you post will be seen. If you don't keep your albums to private...people could click on your pics properties and open your whole photobucket album, not just the pic you post!

Even easier NDG, when you open the picture look to the lower right for the IMAGE LINK CODES.
The last link is <span style="font-weight: bold">IMG Code - Forums &amp; Bulletin Boards</span>

Just copy that and paste it right into your reply.

Schultz!! Your snow looks so pretty!! Ours would be too if weren't a bi weekly event around here!!
