Hello, I am curious to what the best ways to transfer money from Jamaica to the USA. Also, if someone could give me percentages also that would be appreciated. I have been told about 5 percent of the amount. Any assistance would be of great help.
Wire transfer from a bank account to a bank account is the most practical way.
Especially if your bank gives you free wire transfers like mine does. However if the amount is over $4,999US, US government might get on your case, so best to keep it under 5Gs.
belaated, as per usual-- W.Union charges 12$ , first level of cost ( like up to $1,000 or so) Check out Senvia,on line . cost is less 5- 8$, it is sent to particular banks on the island and receiver does NOT have to have an account @ that bank
