The Moon Palace Jamaica Grande in Ocho Rios, St. Ann is now scheduled to begin operations on March 1.
It was reported last month that the opening was scheduled for January 15.
In July last year Palace Resorts began negotiations to purchase the former Sunset Jamaica Grande, which was later renovated.
Kathy Halpern, Palace Resorts Vice President for Sales and Marketing, says nearly one thousand former Sunset Jamaica Grande employees will be part of the staff at the new resort.
