Hi guys and girlies,

just wondering if you could help me out??? I am in a wheelchair and travelling with 3 other people (all walking) and we would like to go on a few trips anyone tell me what would be a good trip to go on please??

The waterfalls would be difficult because there are too many steps. There is the Bob Marley museum in Kingston that should be handicap friendly. You could charter a boat and go from the beach to the Westend and see all the pretty hotels and villa's. Maybe someone else will come around with some good idea's. Have a great time.

Little Ochie in Alligator Pond would be a good trip and I think you could get around at Lovers leap too.

On the other side of the island near Ochie there is the Jamaican Dogsled team you could go visit.

the tour operators will help you decide on places to go

and i'm sure you will get plenty of help

Hmmmm... Im thinking that Jamaica is about as <span style="font-style: italic">un</span>-wheelchair friendly of a place that you can ever find. I can't recall EVER seeing a person (tourist or local) in a wheelchair... ever. Even the upscale hotels (that I'm familiar with) are built without a thought to people in wheelchairs.

A buddy of ours is wheelchair bound &amp; has come down to Legends/Negril with us a few times. The only thing he couldn't do was parasail &amp; boy, was he ever bummed about that...

Yes, for Negril I would definitely suggest Legends! There is also a nice motel in Falmouth right on the water in the cove where is the Glistening Waters phenomenon. It's named Bodmint. The hotel and I think it would be doable to do the Glistening Waters boat ride about 7 pm. Bodmint hotel is right next door. Bodmint is right on the water with many boardwalk docks to travel on from the grassy yard. It was fun staying right on the magic water and getting to experience it ourselves after we did the tourist boat ride thing.

I personally see a lot of tourists rolling around Negril... there must be quite a few things you can do. Just be sure you're alright with the hotel you're staying at and I believe the rest will fall into place. Jamaicans are very helpful and adapt well to most situations, don't be surprised if the solution sometimes is to carry you, over something to get to where you want to be. That seems so easy and very probable.
