Duty Free Shopping

Do you always (time permitting) make that stop at the duty free shops?

Duty free shopping time is a must for me.

I ALWAYS get rum and ginger wine. Usually vodka and sometimes I'll pick up an item on special.

Then depending on how much I spent while in JA, I may get a rum cake, perfume, cosmetics and maybe jewelry.

I love the duty free shops! Back when I smoked i would load up on a carton and pick up a nice bottle of something special.

I can't resist those last 2 bokkles of Coconut Rum.
plus it looks good at customs when they ask what you have to declare. Just the rum sir.

I never have enough money left for anything else.

I buy any and everything except clothes.

Books, snacks, liqour, jewelry, CDs, hats, bags...
whatever catched my eye and is in the right price range.

I was picturing the duty free on the way TO places, had forgotten all about the ones in MoBay airport, and I love the Rydens at the Canadian border! I'm such a do dah sometimes.

OK, yes I would pick up bottles of Rum Cream at the airport duty free in the past but that might be tricky now if they still have the liquid limits. It doesn't work so well when you have to change planes so often!

I had 2 plane changes once hitting the states. One in Miami, another in Chicago, and yet one more in Mpls to Duluth. I spent more time in airports than I did in the air! My last trip there was an overnight layover (in Mpls on NWA) where we had to go all the way out of the gate and check back in. That trip it took me 23 hours to get to Jamaica.
