Hi tictock

If you don't know when spring break is, how do you know the rooms are twice the price

there is no definitive beginning or end of spring break...it generally runs March & April, usually around Easter....

you'll see some "name" artists playing in Negril, which seems to be spring break headquarters for Jamaica....e.g: monk booked Bounty Killer at the Jungle a couple of weeks ago....

why are prices double? supply&demand

if u love tons of screaming college kids getting pizs drunk and acting like idiots then yah!

there are other great times to go like in the summer for sumfest...and christmas time for sting

I went last christmas for 3 weeks and managed to miss every concert there was

I have not been in july/aug yet due to dramatic price increases,
I usually go in quiet and slow months so I do not mind it being busy and noisy for once.

most of the party passes are a sham, just an fyi.

better to pick and choose which events you want to go to.

well you will definitely get to see some shows...this past season there was a lot of performances, the marleys- (kind of lame- hard to take 5 minutes of 3 little birds being sung by someone in a flak jacket), bounty, rootz underground, wayne marshall, sizzla, there were a lot...

there is a thread in the trip report section which you might enjoy.
