I wonder if it's just because their systems are used to what they eat at home. like if you were to bring a jamaican raised infant to north america strawberries and grapes would cause them trouble too?

little ones dont have all the enyzmes they need to digest or provide immunity against certain foods. Honey is a classic example of this.

You know, when my son was 3.5 yrs old, he got food poisoning, took almost 2.5 months to clear it out of his little system before he could return to day care. We never did find out what caused it, but fruit/veg were the main suspect.

Ryan is in my prayers. She is so precious and sounds like a fighter. Her sickness sounds like the Rotavirus the difference is that it does not seem contagious. I don't wish this on my worst enemy as It is comes out both ends. My daughter had it when she was 3-4 and was on IV in the hospital for 5 days. She passed it on to my wife and I but we got a quick injection. Children that young are resilient and she will bounce back.

I just came across this and I am praying hard for Ryan's speedy recovery.
Our hearts break when our little ones are not feeling well. I am sorry your family is going through this but it warms me to see all the support you have.
