just reading this and wanted to say angie you, your daughter & grandaughter are in my thoughts and prayers today. I am sure your likkle granddaughter will make a speedy recovery

Amen to this post....looking out among my friends this past trip someone asked "how did you meet these people" It sounds foolish to say on the internet on a Jamaican board, but it is the truth, and thank GOD for this board for THAT.

I keep watching the clock ... they should be wheels up in around an hour - right??

talked to Bim and gave him this news this morning ... he said it is SO TERRIBLY HOT there these past several days ...

Ryan and Candice arrived at the airport and they allowed them to go through the line without delay. The flight is delayed until 2:45 which means they should be leaving Jamaica within the next 15 mintues.

The physician feels strongly that her illness is a result of Ryan eating the sand which has animal feces, but the final results will tell when we take her to the hospital tonight. Ryan is doing much better but is still very weak. She hasnt thrown up since early this morning but the diarrhea continues.

Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes. This report is a blessing in so many ways. You never know in your journey through life how todays choices will affect your liffe years later. Nevery could I have imagined that joinging this board in 2001 would result in being a major part of my granddaughters medical journey in Jamaica. I thank all of you for your prayers and words of comfort.

Good morning again.

You know I knew from JUMP that my part was directed by a higher power, it was very simple. I knew why I didn't go out dancing when I was asked to join a friend. I knew why Angie and I had spent time swimming and visiting. At that moment it all became so clear to me.

It was MY blessing to be allowed to help Angie, Candice and Ryan, who I never mentioned in my babble earlier is one of the most precious children I know. Her SPIRIT is sweet.

While she was sitting with her IV in her little hand, there was a man who she couldn't see who was in the same large ER but he was behind a curtain. This man was making a lot to guttural noise and obviously was in severe pain. On top of that he was vomiting continuously. Little precious Ryan when she heard him make a noise, she'd turn her head and make the sounds like 'ah oh' indicating he was in pain. She was so observant and from her expressions you could see / hear that she is a compassionate soul. At one point Angie called and I was talking to her on the phone. When I hung up Ryan was very disturbed. So I called Angie back and let Ryan hear her voice, Lawd have mercy this child grinned from ear to ear when she heard her Grammy's voice. That was worth everything in the world. Trust me.

When we open our hearts up A Higher Power uses us like playing chess, we are simple placed where we are best of use.

I am looking forward to hearing from Angie this evening once Ryan is in children's hospital in Atlanta.

Nothing for Go Go to do but sit and wait 3 hours until they arrive, so I need to busy myself with all things Ryan. It makes me feel better.

GoGo ... I love that name ~

you know - Jamaicans are as Jamaicans are ... when I told Bim - he insisted it was because of the intense heat they are experiencing - could not be because of some fruit or water that was mentioned much earlier. The little children just run and play so on the sand and in the sea ... do not get enough rest and do not take the time to drink enough ...

now - you know him (slightly) ... no arguing ... cuz - of course - yada yada

just keep hanging in there GoGo ... they soon come ~

T-Smalls ... isn't it just amazing how things line up sometimes??? all just meant to be ....

I feel like we are "tracking the aircraft" like we used to do tracking Santa at Christmas as children ~
