Air Jamaica welcomes last minute bookings

PASSENGERS wanting to make last minute bookings can do so online at AirJamaica.com, up to two hours before the scheduled departure time of their chosen flight.

"Air Jamaica is always looking for new ways to make travel easy and convenient for our customers, and this new feature on our website allows last minute travel plans to be quickly actioned – with reservations, ticketing, check-in and boarding pass handled from the comfort of your home," said Air Jamaica director of e-commerce Rob Shand.

Booking online attracts no extra fee. Payments can be made using a major credit card or with cash at any Western Union location throughout the United States and the Caribbean.

this is what i always do, book thru AJ, luvv their site, it actually tells u how connections and dates are the sale dates~

this last min thingy is wonderful~

Does anyone know the best time to buy tickets for Christmas? They are $$$$ right now.

I just wish Air Jamaica had better times for me between FLL and MJB. They used to have great times. I don't like to have a flight out of MJB before 2 pm. If I want a later flight I have to go through Kingston.

my dept time is always after 6pm or something so, i hate to be rushed,

Sepculations are that Indigo Partners and Oaktree Capital (they own Spirit) bought AJ. One minute its confirmed and the next minute its high speculation.

i 'think' what happens is, Spirit bought most of the shares, but the ja govt still has much shares and can take it back if they want at any time~~ something like so!!

I used to love Air Ja's flights 10 &amp; 11 when flight 10 left JFK about 8AM...now it doesn't leave til almost 1PM....

I agree. I have no problem with an early flight to get there. But coming back i hate it.

Yes. They used to have better flight times for me. I'm always in TB so an early flight out is not good for me. If I want good times I have to fly out of Kingston.

So. I wonder if they will start charging for luggage too. I read that American just raised it's prices for luggage.

American is only charging for luggage on domestic flights....

I buy mine already. I usually by my christmas ticket in July or August. It wasn't on Air Jamaica I have been doing Delta for several years now so that I can bypass Florida all together.
