Well as our luck would have it , no operation for Betty today.
The ICU was unable to have a slot for Betty due to a busy weekend and her surgery was set back until Aug 21.
We waited six hours to get this news in the OR prep area, what can you do ?

Betty and I want to thank all our boardie friends for all your prayers and well wishes as we go through this.

Bettys surgery is over, Thank Jah.

She is in ICU now and looking better this time.
She has a bad infections and a new second bypass was done. and recovery will be long we're told.
Keeping positive thoughts here.
Saying our prayers too.
Thank you for your love and prayers also.

I getting ready to return to the hospital and thought I'd post an update.

Betty had a rough time last night and the ICU crash team was called in as she was having problems breathing.
The have her stabilized and she is resting now, it was a long night.
Praying she'll turn the corner soon.

Thursday Afternoon Update:
Betty is doing much better today.
She has some pain, but not as bad as before.
She had some tea and apple juice and is sleeping quite a bit.
I'm going back to the hospital around 4pm until closing.
I think she may have turned that corner.
Again, thank you all for your emails and prayers.
We are hanging in there.

Update: Friday AM
We had a huge storm blow through here last night and I wasn't able to do an update.

Betty is doing so much better, I had her up for a walk.
She only walked about twenty yards but it was a walk.
Sort of like the newborn deer thing.

They are going to put a thing in her arm today so they can draw blood from her easier, she is puffy and they can't find her veins the regular way ???
They will take her to a special procedure room and put this in we're told.

She just called me and sounds great on the phone.
I'm taking her mother in to see her and will be back in again later as well.
No other visitors right now but she needs the rest.

We are on the right track now I pray and have only to worry about her white blood count for infection.
