Hey the part weh him say when Gilbert turn back, eh a neva joke dat when di eye pass an di reverse part start lick, dat did worse dan di front part. We was praying an asking God for mercy during part one, during part two water start to flood di house so we had get up off we knees and try stop it, mi a tell oonu it was a harrowing experience! And still we had little damage compared to a lot of other people, so me still give thanks. </div></div>

dis song was di bomb...mi a tell u seh dem lyrics deh a classic...Lova was a onetime memba of dis dance group name di Fabulous Flames..dem did all mek records inbetween dem dancing..one a dem biggest hits was di rock steady cover of Holly Holy...

I've never experienced anything so bad. Blizzard of 78 was as wild as it got. Though that was devastating for many, we were lucky. It did however bring out the best in people. Our roads were shut down for a week, so everyone was on foot. Amazing the people you meet towing groceries on a sled. The worst for me was trying to find a pack of Marlboros!!

I was in Jamaica between Charlie &amp; Ivan. Bad enuff what all the rain from Charlie did to all the roads &amp; pipes.

I know we can complain about horrid snow and ice storms - the worst for me was the Halloween Snow &amp; Ice Storm 1991 ..

BUT I always give thanks that we can just usually hunker down and stay put safely ~ not have to worry about the loss of home, shelter and all belongings. the snow and ice will melt away ~

I have only experienced a mini hurricane in Jamaica - nothing as extreeeem as Gilbert nor Ivan ~

Then, in 1988, Hurricane Gilbert struck the island. As he watched the devastation on the news in the States, for twelve days he had no way of knowing if she had survived, or if her family was okay. So as soon as they cleared the airport he flew down to find her. But before he left, he scraped up all the money he could and bought a small diamond ring.
