Food... Ms. Fattie in Negril... still there?

One more question since I haven't been in Negril since 2007: Is Miss Fattie still serving her delicious food in Negril (across Travellers Ressort on Norman Manley Blvd.)?

Would love to get my food there in December!

that is so good to hear since things are changing fast in JA (see my other post about Go Direct at Yellow Bird hotel).
Guess I will be fed again exclusively by Miss Fatie (and Mr. Carr) three weeks in December. Can't change old habits, can you? I even think about staying at Travellers Ressort instead of Jah B's, just to be closer to Miss Fatie. Oh well

She is there but the building has been moved behind the doctor's office. Hope Mr Carr is still around. I did not see him the last 2 times we stopped in April or May.

As far as I can remember the doctor's office is quite close to where Miss Fattie used to be. It's what they call "Negril Beach Medical Center" on Manley Blvd., right?

Right! The doctor's office is to the right of where Fattie's used to be, so she hasn't moved much, but some people thought she was gone totally because she's tucked behind the doc's office. I don't remember the correct name for the doc but it is either what you posted or real close to it.

reasonable prices too

I stayed twice at Jah B's but except for a snack I have never eaten there. Joyce didn't like that at all That was difficult at times, but I didn't want to miss my early-morning walk down the beach, having some coffee and a good chat at Travellers before crossing the street for Ackee & Saltfish at Miss Fatties'. Then there was Mr. Carr who always saved a big piece of chicken for me in the late afternoon.

I have some very fond memories of Miss Fatties, nice chats with all kinds of people... plus: You can be on your own as well if you're in the mood and no one will bother you. Very rare at other places.

Miss Sonia is a great, great lady, she just demands quite some time once she feels comfortable talking with one ;-)

I did send Joyce a mail regarding staying at Jah B's two days ago... she didn't answer yet, but that might be because I started the mail with "Dear Angela"... stupid me... don't know how I came up with 'Angela'.
