Help me with my thesis!

Hello All,

This might seem like a strange post, but I am looking for people with knowledge about the hotel industry in Jamaica for my master's thesis. I am studying tourism destination competitiveness and have choosen Jamaica as my case study!

As I live in Germany, I am not able to travel to Jamaica to do research, and, therefore, I am hoping to find people online who might be willing to share their knowledge with me. Specifically, I am interested in learning about how hotels/resorts decide who to hire and how they train their employees to deliver customer service. If you work, or have worked, in a hotel/resort in Jamaica it would be great if you would be willing to share what you know with me!

Dear Sarah:

You have chosen a good subject. I have never worked in the hotel business but there is lots that can be written on this subject. Maybe try a Google about "Jamaica and Spanish hotel chains" to get started.

Sarah </div></div>The Spanish Hotels are a recent addition to the Jamaican tourist market.
After All the oldest is not yet 5 years old. So the depth of information may be less to do with their history, and mire about the effect of their introduction to the market.
I don't think even the Spanish investors are aware of that yet as they are in the process of discovering that the Jamaican workers are capable of shutting even the most expansive of them down.

and are willing to do so for a really long time . sometimes years if it is necessary.
