Is pretty and pristine still ya know, and not crowded full of people. Way less crime, good schools still. We live good up here. For what you could get for your place you could find a nice home on a beach up here and live happily ever after...
Did you know there at least 10,000 lakes in Mn? I see more lakes than Mn up in my part of Wi. I mean, there is a lake every few miles! And the grandaddy of all lakes, the great Gitchee Gummi. Freshwater sea.Comment

I'm serious Missy M. I have seen you over the years talk about the area where you live and it is not fondly. I even saw you try to like it when you took your little girls to the park. You do not seem happy in your area. You are retired now and can live anywhere! What's to stop you from picking up and moving on?

OK so I know you like nightlife so this might not be your cup of tea and I'll go find you places closer to Duluth and then work my way down towards Mpls (but is much more expensive towards Mpls and practically give away prices up here now)...
but this is my area: (um, think sailboats and lots of em!)

So now...take Duluth for instance....
This house is about 2 miles from the heart of Downtown Duluth. Two miles where I take my ship pics and has sunrise views and boats float by almost all year long. There is even a paved walkway to downtown and the longest freshwater sandbar in the world and the trail is pet friendly.

These condo's are in that same neighborhood only close to a golf course and a block from the lake, and on a beautiful river. It's on the edge of a city park that has a plethora of fun things to do and is where the famed seven bridges road is. Cripes I could be a real estate agent, lol. I saw them build the condo's a couple of years ago and I think some are still brand new since the economy tanked
