hotels in Ochi

I am familiar with all of these hotels but have not visited or stayed on their properties for several years. I'd appreciate your comments (good and bad) becasue I am trying to find somewhere clean, comfortable to stay for only 2 days...

Hibiscus Lodge
Cran Ridge
Sandcastle

If you have any other comperable ideas I welcome those as well. (Rooms near the JA Grande is out of the question)

we stayed at Hibiscus 3 or 4 years ago...it's a very nice place. the breakfast there is incredible.

Both Sand and Crane as I’m sure you know, can’t be beat for location. Central to everything.

Crane Ridge is on that huge hill so depending on your likes & dislikes, can be a plus or no.

If you want to be a bit away from the rah rah rah, it’s good. If you have no transportation and have to hike the hill, not so great.

We’ve stayed at Crane Ridge for years but as time has gone by, less & less.

Used to be top notch but the quality has gone down quite a bit.

The fridge and stoves often don’t work.

Overall the rooms aren’t as clean as they used to be.

The property used to be tip top ALLLL the time.

Over the past 5 years, I’d say, it’s been uneven.

We’re not too keen on going back again soon.

Sand Castles is hit or miss, imho, because it depends on what kind of room you get and whose room you get.

I personally don’t like renting at Sand Castle room unless I know the owner.

Some private individuals OWN the apts and keep them on point. Others, sometimes can be just the opposite.

All have their pluses and minuses tho.

You’ll find equal amounts of people listing pros and cons for all 3 properties I imagine. Each swearing that their experience is THE representative report of the place. I can imagine it might be a hard choice to make.

I’m with Loops on this one tho – of the 3, right now, I’d go with Hibiscus.

Didn't like Crane Ridge...PM me if you want the details...it was an inexpensive hotel which we booked as part of a package in an emergency...better you pay more money and get better service.
