hi folks
i do &quot;bath&quot; 3x per year . . . definitely worth the drive from portland, the scenery is breathtaking . . . not much commercial stuff, just nature and back roads.

i laugh every time about the &quot;blessings&quot; that ppl receive on that rock . . . one time i spent 4 solid hours there hanging out . . . if a person just walks up the stream a little ways, there is a natural &quot;pool&quot; and lots of privacy, just stunning nature. in my books, definitely worth a day trip. the hotel serves some good food also.

i woulnt recommend it unless ur a local doe. and can appreciate the idea of public bathing and mek sure u bring a flash light.and careful wen u a cross di river inna di dawk

Bath was worth going to.

I have never been to beaches in St. Thomas. What about them?

There was a trip report on here about staying at a Rasta place in Sunning Hill. It made me want to check it out.

My sister in laws boy friend is from Trinityville St. Thomas(hope I got that right). He said that Sunning Hill is THE place if you like &quot;veggies&quot;.

mi hear bout the rasta ting but never actually been. only go sunny hill fi visit family for the day and get the hell outa dat place. LOL. its ok...but nothing much to see and do if ur a tourist.the bush is lush and green yes...and di river peaceful an nice...unless u go inna rainy time wen river come dung and land slide/ flood black di road....di janga (shrimp) from over deh sweet

one ting mi like wid sunny hill over deh alway nice a cool and lush and green even during drought.

ne one know a place called hay field...after u pass bath and sunny hill and go up more inna di bush?

I keep saying that when I get back to Jamaica I would like to spend a couple of days in Portland and St. Thomas.

I think it might be nice to hang out and chill for a couple of days.

mokko's place in sunning hill is situated right beside the river . . . real local flair . . . he's the only &quot;commercial spot&quot; there . . . instead of turning right to bath just drive straight and you will reach sunning hill . . .

i've stayed at the bath hotel only once for one night and that was too much . . . the whole area is real creepy once the sun goes down . . . sure would not want to be walking down to the rock after dark . . .

Maybe that area doesn't seem so interesting to you because it is not new to you. It would be new to me.

The other place I would like to see is Flagstaff. I saw a thread on this site about it. I have only driven through the Cockpits. It might be interesting to hang out for a day or two

I was at Bath during the day. And I was the only fariner in the car. So I would not know how it is at night.

It was Mokko's place I was talking about.

majix each time mi go up deh is mostly rasta man mi buck up. once mi did meet one bawl head bway but he wasnt working dere him was just dere to bade like mi.... him did give a good massage doe...but him lyrics dem wasnt all dat

di people who deh deh a nite i dont tink dem is working dem just dere fi bade etc cus nobaddy never charged mi at nites. den just offer fi wash u back and massage u foots and lyrics u and tell u dat u is the prettiest ooman dem ever see and how u voice sound like angel and dem love how u jsut likkle and neat and di way so baddy so nice if dem was ur man dem woulda bade yuh and drink di water
