I spent 3 nights at Breezes in Runaway Bay and liked it very much, for an AI, which is not my thing. But it was nice nad hte food was good, rooms nice, etc.

Spent two days at Starfish aka Breezes Trelawny and liked that as well. Not as "fancy" as BRB but great for kids especially and also good food.

Both have very nice natural beaches that you can walk a long way on, and adjoin normal public beaches.

Breezes runaway bay. Loved it!!!


Gonna do Sunset jamaica Grande in the summer and looking forward to it. Hear only great things about this place since it renovate and under new mgmt

These are only some of the reasons why I stated what I did before about some properties. I can only give my opinion, so take it as you see fit! But you sometimes get what you pay for.

Sunset in MoBay: pool was filthy not only with some kind of film on the water, but actual cups, straws, floating in the pool and no one cleaned it up. Food was just OK, nothing special, but edible.

Rooms on the Beach in Ochi: Breakfast was a box of corn flakes sitting out along with some danishes on a plate! We tried 3 different rooms and none of the balcony doors would close, so forget about locking them. If you were outside all you had to do was push on the sliding door and it would pop open. In all three rooms!

Shaw Park Gardens: The rooms are hit/miss, we lucked up with a pretty nice room. Basically the quality of alcohol is low, food is terrible.

Not at ALL. My room (lowest price level) was lovely. Large, modern, clean. Big huge shower with multiple showerheads, flat screen TV, patio, AC etc.

Breezes MoBay was never a great resort. Breezes finally got rid of it, if it is open at all anymore it's under a different name run by a different company.

BRB is a lovely resort, includes a lot of extras like golf, snorkeling, etc. Food was very good too - even had an entire Jamaican food area on the buffet which is pretty rare.

it appears that breezes mobay is closed and empty - whick i'm sure doesn't help the crime scene in mobay

whoever designed that breezes missed the mark - you either had a small room or one that you could hear every move in the hallway - i even managed to get a free pass to stay at The Grand Lido - after one stay there - when i wrote Issa and told him that place was horrible

i remember when there was just an open lot there and you could shortcut to cornwall beach to listen to excellent music

now there are 2 empty hotels down that way - also Fantasy or the Montegoian - the name when i stayed there back in the day

that end of the street was always a bit dodgey with the strip club - Sir Winston's

pork pit used to be down there but moved a long time ago

personally i thought someone should have refurbished Fantasy - all beach view rooms - instead of building that huge breezes crap right on the beach

doctor's cave beach used to be FUN with tourists and jamaicans enjoying it together

now the only folks that go there are the cruise ship people and it's so quiet you can hear a pin drop - i guess some folks like that - but i like a little flava

the hilton looks nice but i like to walk the hip strip and take in the sights
