i would have to wonder at the nature of the "reprimand" that would lead to something like this. if the employee did not use the designated entrance because of some one-time reason, then get drape up (and possibly in front of coworkers) in a way that mek her feel like she is not entitled to use anything besides the "designated entrance", then yes, i see the level of grievance leading to work slowdown.

colonial-type relationships still a gwaan in jamaican workplaces enuh, wussa still if a black overseer a reprimand black worker.

I still don't agree to a work slowdown as a solution.
You either work as a professional that you are and do your job properly, or you call a strike/ sick-in and distrupt the runnings completely to prove your point.
Slowdown is foolishniss.

A strike is different. It depends on the labor contract between airport management and workers. There may be an agreement (clause) in the contract that either the workers cannot strike because they are considered &quot;essential workers&quot; or they can only strike if 70% of workers in the union vote to strike.

All of the above assumes a labor union is involved ...

Yes I'm familiar with work to rule (a pilot after all, and you know how we stay)

It doesn't change the fact that I don't agree with work to rule in principle.

But I see your point that they did not have the liberty to call a full blown strike and had to settle.
