While I'm in Jamaica, I want a quiet getaway to Port Antonio by myself for about 3 days. Help me decide:

San San Tropez
Frenchman's Cove
Mockingbird Hill Inn

Looking for quiet beach, quiet time to read and reflect, access to very good Jamaican meals. Will have car.

I will have to say Frenchman's Cove because I've stayed there a few times and really enjoy the tranquil quiet, the rooms are great. Get a studio that gives you a view of the sea.

FC is a known. Maybe do this then one day go by Kanopi to check it out for future getaway?

How long are you staying? Definitely check out that Kanopi place the pics on their website are beautiful.

btw, mi have a uncle who live up inna di Portland mountains way up in the hills of Fruitfulvale and Shrewsbury. Uncle Melvin a bonafide bushman. His home has a view of the rising sun which no other place can ever beat. Gwaan go look for him and bring back some ground produce... st vincent, renta yam, dasheen, some coffee, the apple dem outta season but pear still a bear up dey.

Sandi have you been to FC lately? I hated the rooms I saw there 7 years ago, I wonder if they have been redone?

Can't beat that beach...but this year I stayed at Fern Hill and drove down to FC for beach time.
