Howz yer garden growing Seveen? It is way to early to think about planting up here in the Tundra but soon come! We all have Spring Fever, especially the animals. Especially Sadie!

i am quite pleased with my yard

the knock out roses are blooming - even the new ones and the transplanted ones - they need a little clipping but i'll do that next month

the verbana is looking happy - 2 spots came back from last year - a third spot is struggling and the 2 new spots look happy

the bulbine i transplanted is blooming one bulbine i separated and transplanted doesn't look happy but it's not dead yet

i added some creeping rosemary - most of it looks happy - one little sprig deosn't looked thrilled but it's hanging on

one of the palms he planted is dead i believe and will need to get replaced but they don't cost a bundle - the other is smiling, green and growing

i planted 3 little red things - don't know what they are - the label said perennial perennials and they are red and rosy - haven't noticed any growth but they are only in the ground about 2 weeks or so

and miracles of miracles - the asiatic jasmine is popping out and most of it lived through the winter - this is the ground cover that is supposed to fill in where the grass used to be - i planted about 27 more and hopefully this year the ground cover will cover

next month i'm going to plant some spreading lantana and then freshen up some of the beds with mulch - not adding mulch to the area that the jasmine is supposed to cover - jack suggested moving some of the jasmine forward when i plant the lantana

i weeded and seeded the grass in my back yard myself - it needs to get mowed but i'm trying to hold out until i see a little more green - and jack (my friend's father-in-law) gave me all the directions on what to do the grass and when - and i have all the supplies already - one thing i bought he told me to take back

abu and his friends are keeping the weeds down - they have almost gotten fanatical about them - too funny - and they are de-weeding a bed in my back yard where i'm going to plant some bushes - i may do more knockout roses - those things are so hardy and they bloom and bloom and bloom

i removed the honeysuckle coral - gave it to amy - it wasn't blooming in my yard and it was kind of sloppy and didn't really fit in

the landscaper i called a few weeks ago was supposed to give me a quote and i haven't heard a peep from her - and if she calls me now - i don't need her

yikes this post is long - but i'm so proud of my new gardening skills and how nice everything is coming in so far and all the money i saved

It's way more rewarding this way, even thou it alot of work.

yep and i'm able to buy more plants since i am using child labor and they work for pizza and gatorade

okay i'm planting the lantana today

and this is absolutely the last planting i am going to do in the front yard forever

but miss fanatical has the kids clear out a spot in the back yard where the bushes died and the weeds had taken over - trying to decide if i want flowers or vegetables back there may do a mix of both - i saw some cute tomato plants

i went from zero to 100 real fast this year

Howdy Jamaicaholics and Happy First Day of SPRING!!!!

Just stoppin by to say hello and see how you're all doing. Spring is arriving here in New England. Still chilly, but not freezing ice &amp; snow. Early season flowers popping up here &amp; there and people outdoors wearing less than winter coats, hats, boots, gloves &amp; shovels. It was a loooong winter, which thankfully I didn't have to venture out into too often.

Laurel the post I made above yours re: am back from my vacay.....that was the chrip repoat spent some quality time with granmama and the rest of the jamaican family.....got a few dips in the salt water sea (as granmama call it says it good for the body) tell her I have salt water sea here in Canada.... she says Canada one doan count eat lots of granmama cooking.....went to a party for one of her friends that lost a leg.... sweet lady. l Never left kingston/Saint Andrew as that is where the jammie family live. All my pics. include the family so I will not post on the internet their wishes. Mostly chill with them.

anyway am home pulled a muscle in my groin area dont ask......wont tell have to be walking on tippee toe.....my Mom ask what happen I told herand told her doan ask me how it happen.... she give me a dutty look and I give her this look when she brought me some work to do from home....took some pain killa and use a ice pack so pain receeding. Mr stormmey want to bout massage told him to get the hellz away from me

Anyway have a good day going try manouver the stairs to go downstairs.

JaJa Daughter turns 15 tomorrow ... I am missing her Birthday this year. DANG ... I just now realized it will be the first time in maybe 4 or 5 years I am missing her birthday ~

BigMan is having the family come around for a little party for her ~ some music so she can dance ... just a little family fun.

I was trying really really hard NOT to feel so lonesome for them all ...

Well I leave April 16th for the US. Will miss my Teddy Bear and Ja. The weather has really cooperated here and is quite nice.

We have set up the catchment of rain water from the roof into a 400 gal tank, and it works!!! Ted was so excited, he had to go out in the rain and listen to it pouring into the tank. LOL!! This will really help his vegetable and fruit garden.

I am actually looking forward to my operation May 4th. This leg is really painful and I have so many things I want to do here and in the States. Please Lord, make this my last operation.
