The dogs have already been poisoned. I saved them with activated charcoal... They are playful and hungry. I'm not used to big dogs but mi love dem. I found chicken neck for $25 a lb. They've been getting chicken neck & rice with dry dog food. It's hard to fill them up!

The hightlight of my week was meeting Jitterbug. She's back in foreign now. Wish I could have spent more time with her.

Maybe today I go to Negril to swim. It's been real hot here the last couple of days! Got a nice rain shower on Thursday.

Western Consciousness is this weekend. I don't plan to go. A teenage youth got stabbed & killed last weekend for his Blackberry at the Curry Festival at Mannings in Sav. They found him almost dead in the bathroom they took him to MB where he later died. He was a bright youth that attended ComC. I'm afraid of those dancehall crowded up places! I will stay with the small private conscious ones held at places like Seastar in Negril.

Being here has been nice but I do miss my creature comforts of home. I miss not having a car!

returned home . . . my highlight was meeting schultz . . . a real pleasure, wish we could have spent more time hanging out . . . enjoyed your mangoes, thank you. next time hopefully we can spend more time.

also hunted down ariana in orange bay, was a pleasure visiting with her. loved her brood of dogs, all lovely creatures and personalities of their own.

spent some hours in duncans with cher and barry g at jamaica jewel. always love chatting with cher . . .

Good morning everybody. I have had an eye out for JMiss as well, hoping she is doing OK. Been busy here. Pretty Hibiscus Rootsie!

Is 28 degrees this morning, been a terrible rotten Spring but at least we're not blowing to bits here. I finally took my camera out of the bag the other day now that there is a hint of green. Spring green is my favorite colors



I need to go ride this roller coaster through the woods but yard comes first. Getting it in tip top shape early this year!

Oh La Me! What a month this has been.

1. Back operation on May 4, left hospital the next day, BUT there was a large amount of seepage from the wound for several days. Saw doctor and...

2. Second operation May 12. He thought I had spinal cord fluid leaking. Tried to find the source but the spinal column looked okay. It may have been meniscle fluid that surrounds the cord. Still needed to do the second operation because I could have contracted meningitis. Didn't and so am now waiting for it to heal to get the stitches out. In the meantime I need to have someone tape the wound with plastic in order to have a shower. Then....

3. Was trying to put a container of water down on my side table when I lost my balance, tried to grab my walker, but it was turned around backwards, so when I grabbed for it, the walker and me went flying. I landed on the floor on my side. The back brace cut into me and I lost my wind for a while, and had excrutiating pain in the ribcage. Luckily the back only hurt a little and so far looks good. I scooted to my purse to my cel phone to call my daughter in the main home, since she had not heard me yelling for help. Went by ambulance to the hospital. Had xrays and they say because of my symptoms that I probably cracked a couple of ribs. This doesn't usually show up on an xray unless the ribs are cracked clean through and protruding which mine are NOT. But it hurts with a deep breath and when I cough.

I was going with my family for the long weekend to a lovely town called Florence which is near the beach. My daughter J bought a home there and we were going down to help her settle in, but instead I am stuck home for recuperation. A couple of great friends are helping to make my meals, do my wash, and help me bathe since my immediate family is down in Florence.

This is getting flat out ridiculous with all that has happened to me health wise in the last 4 years. I still thank the Lord every morning and night though for my life.

JMiss . That plains sucks! I have been hoping you are OK, but now I see you are not quite there yet! Take care and I hope the healing speeds up some.

We hqve nasty weather and I am home till the holiday is over. I will let the weekend warriors have at it then break out the scooter on Tuesday, hopefully! Gotta go charge the battery and put my license plate sticker and I'm good to go, I hope. If the rain ever stops.
