Makafat - where you been boss? How are you? How is your family?
The only place in St. Thomas that I know of is Bath ... the hot springs place. Good place for a day trip. Just watch the slippery road...

There are very inexpensive places in Treasure Beach that I have stayed in and enjoyed. Irie Rest & Vkings house are both cheap , clean, comfortable and near the sea.
I have never stayed there (yet) but Paradise Guest house in Oracabessa and Zion Counrty in Portland look fabulous to me.
Hopefully, I will see the teacher with the info re the place in St. Thomas tomorrow (I was off campus today for a union meeting). Her and her hubby are surfers. They loved St. Thomas.

Re: St. Thomas
Makafat,
Check out Whispering Bamboo Cove. I last stayed there in 2005 and spent about 4 nights there. It's very relaxing and the beach is right behind it. It's right off the main road and is very quiet. I enjoyed my stay there and the price was pretty reasonable ($50.00US per night, which included breakfast). For an additional cost, you can even order lunch and dinner but must do so the previous day if you want to eat.
This is the only link I can find http://www.discoverjamaica.com/whisper.html The proprietor's name is Marcia Bennett and that's who I contacted (via email) to make my res.
Now there's not a whole lot to do in that area (Retreat) but if you'll have a car then Morant Bay, Yallahs (for jerk chicken), and of course Bath Fountain is not too far away.

You are welcome.
I hope you have a great trip. I love to see small Jamaican owned places get the business.
If you are spending 1 -2 weeks in one place, many places will make a deal.
I hope to have info re a place in St. Thomas later today.
I see some one else posted a place in st thomas for you.
