Ideal places to go in Jamaica

Hypothetically
If you were going to go some place in Jamaica for just 2 nights with your SO (spending the rest of your trip else where a yard) where would you go?

I like budget places out side of the tourist area.

What about a week by your self?

I love the photos I see of Zion country (except those stairs ) I like the photos posted in another thread of Bamboo Cove St in. Thomas. I like the photo's of Paradise guest house in Oracabessa.

I love the look and what I hear about the vibe at Jah B's although it is in a touristy area (but don't think I would like Negril Solo).

2 nights with your SO I would try that place in Green Island where Bandi just went.
It looks secluded and perfect for that. Although no first hand experience there.

The place was amazing JD

It's called Rhodes Hall Resort and it's about 8 miles before Negril on the road from Lucea.

with my SO i would check out

seastar (negril) on the cliffs
catcha flying star gardens (negril) on the cliffs
zimbali retreat - just read some great reviews about it
zion cabins
jajewel's place in duncans
jamaica miss place in negril
loads of guest homes in treasure beach - although i would spring for jakes when they have the cheaper rates

Thanks.

I'm looking for a few days out side of TB. I have a place to stay in TB. I personally would never spring for Jakes even if I had it. If I had $$ I'd spring for Blue Marlin or Coquina (they are on the best beach in Treasure Beach)

Ja Jewels place looks fabulous but not in my budget. I look for CHEAP places.

We may just get in the car and drive towards St Thomas / Portland and see where we end up.

Zion might be booked up but we'll see. I see other guest houses on line (Henry's, Ivanhoe's)

a friend of mine did a review of rafjam on his blog

he's into eco tourism so he has reviewed a few of the places of interest to retreat type tourists

there should be a review of jahb's and zion country somewhere on there

he's headed back in a few weeks - this time to hit the cockpits and little bay

so standby for more places that seem hidden away

i think he's hitting up coral cottages in little bay for his stay there
