Marnin all..busy day today. Paris and Rose and I are going on a road trip to the holistic vet for a rabies shot for Paris. She has the safest brands, so I will make the most the 50 some miles each way for a 5 minute visit.

The princess is out running some water off her coat before I start the couple hours of drying.



Must keep her spotless since she is a pillow queen!

Nooks I just marvel at how clean you keep the &quot;Princess&quot;.

Still recuperating and they say it may be 2 months before the wound will close, but thank God for each day. Weather has been very cool which is nice when you are wearing a back brace and have a big hole in your back that is stuffed with gauze saturated in salve, with pieces of gauze over it, then taped to your back. Go to Wound Care Center tomorrow to see doc again. So far no more infection which is a blessing. Getting my strength back and may start sewing again. That is a sure sign of recovery. LOL.

Jah know mi sitting pon di verandah lass nite up here in the hills n wonder wat would have been if I had never left...years mi no come up in di hills but it is a must going fawud.... Not even lotion mi a use ...pick some lime just so n killing di guava tree ... A one fix a parrot fish yessiday n di pumpkin sweet so till ... Even di Irish sweet .. Nutten
like food coming from di grung straight to the pot...n mi already propose to di cook .. Smaddy a cook cowskin wid broad bean n mi deh yah already pray ovah it but mi a go nyam it.. A from mi a pickney mi no get none a dat fi nyam.... Mi suppose fi reach studio but mi no tink mi a leff dis mountain till weekend

Vannie, I am with you, I would be staying in the mountains as long as possible. I have no desire to do any &quot;city&quot; type things here, so I sure don't need to do them elsewhere. Give me some trees and more of God's glorious handiwork, and I am happy. Kind of why I feel to make a move to the U.P. I am in a remote area but the U.P. is really remote! Please take a couple of pictures, mi a beg. Yes, who is watching your girls? I bet they miss you.

JMiss, it sounds like your spirits are somewhat lifted with your improving health. Happy you feel well enough to sew now. I would still love to see some pictures of your quilts! pretty please, and thank you.

We made it safely home from the vet. Paris got lots of compliments on how well behaved she is and also on her nice hair do. I am learning!

I have a groomer friend that will do one part then have me do the other side to match. It is not easy by any means, to learn to sculpt poodle hair, but the alternative would be to just keep her shaved short and that would not look anywhere near as pretty. So, I must learn if it kills me.

This is a month ago after my last learning session..



Well now I have to wait one more month and go back for her distemper combo, and it will be her last distemper vaccination for life. Though most vets will stick all the vaccinations in a dog in one session, every year...it is not a good practice! There should be a month wait in between rabies vaccination and any other vaccination and they do not need vaccination every year either.

My kiln is heating up and I am excited to get to melt glass this afternoon! Actually, I am almost to a point where I will start melting glass most every day. So far this year I haven't been out there much, there just hasn't been time due to all the family related goings on &amp; then it got hot as blazes so no fun then either.

Today is a high of 68 with a cold wind off the lake. I am wearing a flannel shirt! It feels heavenly.


I feel like making some goddesses, maybe. I won't know what I will make till I get there. I learned a long time ago to listen to the muse, for she is in charge, not me.

Nanook, your poodles are fantastic! You're doing a great job learning to groom and barber them. Such beautiful doggies and your beaded heron is lovely too.

I hope you're enjoying your glasswork again. Your mention of the kiln brought back happy memories. I used to be an Ikebana potter and had my own beautiful studio where I spent many happy hours. Please show us some of your newest works, OK?

Good morning everybody! It's raining but I guess at this time we need it. This will help my new gravel settle as it has concrete binder so as not to disappear in the red clay. It came on Tuesday instead of Wednesday, so that was a nice surprise...



Here is a reminder of the spot where my car was buried on Easter weekend. We have had so much rain in the past two years it totally wrecked my driveway and this spot never got easy to get pass, and many times I just had to park and walk. I had to park and walk up till this week it was so bad.



The spot now!



So needless to say, I am doing the happy dance! Is like a regular race track now, lol.

Ms. Peaches, my websites are sorely neglected but now that I am slowly gaining back literally MONTHS of time, I will get back to them all and my blog too.

MsExced, yes Paris is quite the diva...she is the sweetest thing on the planet, I swear. Good girl too, I think I could take a steak off the grill, leave it on the counter and go to town and come back 2 hours later and it will still be there. Paris has perfect manners, so I let her be a diva.

The kiln is heating up right now and I am going out there for the whole day. I might start making ghosts and pumpkins soon is the plan, but since the muse is in charge when she says make ghosts I will. Yesterday I made 3 ocean beads before I had to quit because it was so late. Today I have the whole day!
