It's August! How the heck did that happen?

Is everyone surviving the heat wave? It has pretty much left here, and I hope it doesn't return.

Who is partaking in summer fun? A little birdie told me Rootsie is back from her camping trip. I am looking forward to hearing about that!

I have been scootering around and spending a lot of time on my favorite island this summer.

I don't quite have the place to myself but it is far from crowded..

Well Tulip, speaking of PEACE! Lookie what I found! A slice of heaven on earth. I am going to go look at it and I have put out feelers on selling my farm. If i could manage to sell, this could be where I will spend the rest of my days...

My dream house

I would be very happy making beads in this corner overlooking the lake



I would put my beading area facing the wall with the TV and still be able to see the lake (west view so sunsets!)



I would be happy to spend cooking in this cute little kitchen!



A tuck under garage, basement, and SAUNA!



And last but not least...

Thanks Tulip, I did get a line on someone looking to buy a place with a big garage and workshop. Well well....just so happens, I have it here, ready and waiting for them to come see. I have everything crossed! That dyam 24 X 36 garage might have been the best money I ever spent.

No room for Sadie!

But, I am toying with sending Sadie closer to her owner even if I stay here. Though I love having her here, bottom line is, she is a lot of work. I waffle back and forth over how I know the work is good for me as it gets me off my butt, but it might be better for all involved if I she lived closer to where her owner lives, which is 90 miles away. I feel almost guilty watching her stand around not being used at all. Last time she was ridden was in early May.

I think I will send an email and set up an appointment to see the house. Tomorrow will be rainy and the roads are clogged with tourists on the weekend, so next week. I was on Google Earth and saw the whole neighborhood, but couldn't get it to this yard. I want to find out how close it is to the nearest neighbor and see if it is solid before I get too excited. It's only 102 miles from here to there.

I would really love to live by some water. I am certain that is one of the reasons why I know I can't live in Atlanta forever.

I had to LOL @ &quot;have everything crossed&quot;. I have used that to say my eyes, toes, fingers, and even a**hole crossed.

You haven't said anything in a while that I have seen, but is Rosebud ok? I hadn't thought about it before, but that's a lovely name.

Rosebud is not so OK, but she is OK enough her head is in it's usual spot in my lap. She is moving slowwww, and is pretty much blind. Her seasonal allergies are making us both nuts, benedryl and witch hazel are our friends. Soon to be inconsolable, I am just trying to work into getting up the guts to say goodbye.
