Flight between Jamaica and Cuba

I'm so sorry if this is not the place for this topic but I searched the forum for this but didn't find anything so I'll ask here where are experienced travelers to Jamaica.

I'll be visiting Jamaica in December and will stay for 4 weeks. Since I have enough time, I would like to visit Cuba before or after my visit to Jamaica.
Now I'm interested in cheap flights from Cuba to Jamaica or vice versa.

I was searching the Net but didn't find anything interesting.
Does someone have experience with this?

This is definitely possible and can be done on fairly short notice. Just ask questions at the airport because I don't remember the airline used.

Aerogaviota flies between Montego Bay and Havana.

Jamaica Air Shuttle flies from both Kingston Manley and Montego Bay to Santiago De Cuba.

Air Sunshine flies from Kingston Manley to Guantanamo Bay.


Unfortunately with the demise of Air Jamaica, there is no longer a jet service between the two countries.

After deeper research I found Cayman Airways and their prices are acceptable to me.

What does this mean magic ? Only 14 seater planes fly between the 2 countries now ?

You know what I mean, like the likkel amercian airlines planes that fly to remote american cities ?

Jamaica Air Shuttle uses 14-seater (no flight attendant) Beachcraft 99 puddle jumpers.

Aerogaviota is a civilan branch of the Cuban military. They use 45-seater ATR-42 turboprops. Their pilots do not speak English, do not listen to ATC instructions, and are a menace in the air. You will not find me on board an Aerogaviota flight before I reach the age of 90.

Air Sunshine is an American company that uses 9-seater Cessna 402's.
Their flights are on demand charters so you'd have to call to make sure they go.

With Cayman Airways you will get a proper Boeing 737, but you have to stop in Grand Cayman. So when you leave MoBay at 10am, you nuh reach Havana until 330pm. Whole day waste.

I booked the flight for 3 of us with Jamaican Air Shuttle, their price was the best and the flight time is not long, one stop in Kingston for an hour.

Montego Bay 10 a.m. - Kingston 10.35 a.m
Kingston 11.30 a.m - Santiago de Cuba 12.30 p.m.

Nice. Go for a meal at Island Grill in KIN during your layover.

The planes are small (14 seats) and somewhat loud, but their pilots are very good. You're in good hands.

Sorry JitterBug, I'm not here often so I noticed your message now but I already sent you private message.

I paid US$ 500 for 2 adults and one infant (10% of the price) plus airport taxes.
